To support the production of a passion-driven documentary, a Netflix-affiliated production company partnered with Diskko to create a streamlined, low-overhead merch store. We built and managed a full print-on-demand (POD) operation, allowing fans to support the project while minimizing upfront costs and inventory risk.

Project goals & objectives

  • Custom Webstore Build: Designed and launched a branded Shopify storefront for campaign supporters
  • On-Demand Production Setup: Connected to print-on-demand partners for real-time fulfillment with no inventory
  • Zero-Inventory Logistics: Orders printed and shipped as they came in — no warehousing required
  • Hands-Off Revenue Stream: Studio focused on content and marketing while we handled operations
  • Crowdfunding Through Merch: Every purchase directly contributed to funding the documentary project

Overview

This Netflix-affiliated production house came to Diskko with a clear challenge: raise funds for a documentary through merch without fronting major production costs. We delivered a turnkey solution. Our team built a custom Shopify storefront and integrated a reliable print-on-demand supply chain to enable seamless, on-demand fulfillment. As orders came in, products were printed, packed, and shipped automatically — eliminating the need for pre-purchased inventory or warehousing. The result was a clean, low-lift operation that helped fund the documentary and rally a community of supporters, all while keeping the studio focused on storytelling.
